This report forms part of the efforts of the Coalition for Integrity and Accountability (AMAN) to support the reform process and combat corruption, particularly by advancing the government’s reform agenda through the development of public policies and the provision of practical recommendations to strengthen the management and implementation of the reform program.
This report is also part of the interventions under the project “Strengthening Accountability among Civil Society Actors”, which aims to address significant gaps in public sector accountability and enhance citizen participation in governance. The primary objective of this project is to increase participation of Civil Society (CS) actors in the policymaking process and policy dialogue, thereby promoting public accountability and advocacy in key sectors, specifically agriculture, court services, and humanitarian relief, across the West Bank. This project aims to empower civil society organizations (CSOs), the media, and marginalized communities to actively engage in monitoring and advocacy efforts, thereby contributing to governance reforms that are inclusive, transparent, and responsive to public needs.
The report aims to assess the level of progress achieved in justice sector reform and analyze the effectiveness of reforms implemented within the Judicial Justice sector, which falls under the second pillar of the National Development and Improvement Program, “Governance and the Rule of Law,” in a manner that strengthens social accountability within the justice sector.
