Mr. Jiries Abu Ghannam currently serves as the Assistant to the President for Public Relations and International Affairs at Palestine Ahliya University. He possesses more than twenty years of professional experience in higher education, administration, public relations, media, and cultural and community development. Throughout his career, he has played a vital role in advancing the university’s standing and visibility, while building an extensive network of academic and institutional partnerships at both the local and international levels.
Mr. Abu Ghannam holds a Master’s degree in Communication and Media Studies from Eastern Mediterranean Universityin Cyprus and is currently a Ph.D. researcher in Business Administration. He is the author of the book “The Internet as a Marketing Tool for Marketing Higher Education”, published by Lambert Academic Publishing, and has contributed numerous articles to leading Palestinian newspapers and cultural magazines. In addition, he has published a number of peer-reviewed research papers in high-impact international journals, addressing topics related to management, marketing, strategic communication, and the role of media in supporting education and community development.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Abu Ghannam has held several senior administrative and leadership positions in prominent academic and cultural institutions, including General Director of the President Putin Palestinian Organization for Culture and Economy, Director of Public Relations at Palestine Ahliya University, and Director of Culture and Civic Engagement Programs at the Diyar Consortium. He also previously served as Director of Public Relations at the International Center of Bethlehem (Dar Annadwa) and Dar al-Kalima College. Moreover, he has chaired the preparatory committees of dozens of local and international conferences, and contributed significantly to the organization and management of major academic and cultural events in the fields of higher education, development, and community empowerment.
At the community level, Mr. Abu Ghannam holds leadership roles in several cultural and developmental organizations, including Chairman of the Board of Al-Harah Theater, Vice Chairman of the Board of QADER for Community Development, and membership in advisory councils and institutions dedicated to culture, development, and human rights. He is also a member of the Municipal Council of Beit Jala, actively contributing to local development and community service through municipal work and sustainable initiatives.
