In a letter addressed to the president of theGeneral Personnel Council, Mr. Musa Abu Zeid, the Coalition for Accountability and Integrity (AMAN) called for the necessity to carry out an inventory of employees exceeding the needs of ministries and official organizations. The objective is to redistribute this exceeding staff on organizations suffering from lack of staff in order to better invest in their potentials and skills.
This recommendation comes in a time where the Palestinian government is suffering from a financial crisis and hence limitations in providing new job opportunities in the public sector. In several previous reports, AMAN Coalition has recommended the redistribution of public employees from places where they don’t have actual work to organizations and ministries that suffer from lack of human cadre. This important step will contribute in raising competency, capacity building and enhance accomplishments.
AMAN Coalition stated that to implement this recommendation, all official bodies must fully cooperate with the General Personnel Council to carry out the inventory of exceeding employees and identifying places that lack human cadre. AMAN Coalition confirmed that it is still receiving information about employees who don’t have actual work inside their organizations.
