Ramallah – In its meeting, the General Assembly of the Coalition for Accountability and Integrity (AMAN) elected a new Board of Directors. Held in in Ramallah and Gaza via videoconference, the meeting was attended by Dr. Tawfiq Hirzallah, as a representative of the Ministry of Justice. Participants unanimously approved membership of the Faisal Husseini Foundation at AMAN. Membership of the Coalition also includes the Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy (MIFTAH), Muwatin Institute for Democracy and Human Rights at Birzeit University, Al Mezan Centre for Human Rights, and Palestine Trade Center (PalTrade). AMAN’s General Assembly announced that it would bring on board, in the near future, a number of institutions and individuals of acknowledged patriotism, integrity, transparency, independence, closeness to citizens, and service of Palestinian society.
Mr. Abed Al Qader Al Husseni was reelected as Chairman of AMAN’s Board of Director, Dr. Kamal el Sharafi as Deputy Board Chairman, Ms. Nibras Bseiso as Treasurer, and Dr. George Giacaman as Secretary. Board membership also includes Dr. Hanan Ashrawi, Ms. Joyce Kashou, Ms. Andalib Adwan, Mr. Talal Okal, Mr. Hussein Hijaz, Dr. Walid al-Hamami, and Dr. Lamis al-Alami. Dr. Firas Milhem and Ms. Nour Odeh were elected as members on the Internal Oversight Committee, which supervises and monitors work process within AMAN.
