AMAN Re-launches the 2025 Integrity and Anti-Corruption Awards
Under the motto, “We Will Not Leave… For the Land Remembers Our Names”, the Coalition for Accountability and Integrity (AMAN) has officially relaunched its annual Integrity and Anti-Corruption Award for 2025. This step reaffirms the Palestinian people's ongoing struggle for freedom, institution-building, and steadfastness on their land.
AMAN asserts that resuming the awards, which were paused for one year after being held for 17 consecutive years, reflects their strong belief that occupation and corruption are two sides of the same coin. The relaunch is part of AMAN’s broader efforts to promote integrity and fight corruption within Palestinian society by encouraging citizens to engage in reporting and standing up against corruption. Applications for the awards are open until 30 October 2025.
AMAN announced that it would continue to receive applications and nominations for the Award across its three categories: The Public Sector and Local Government Staff Award, for employees who reported corruption, refused to participate, gave official testimony, shared information, or made an initiative to promote integrity and fight corruption within their institutions; The Shireen Abu Akleh Award, in honor of the martyred journalist, dedicated for journalists who make investigative reports on cases of corruption, and the Best Research Award, dedicated for the best academic research related to integrity and anti-corruption systems.
Specialized technical committees will review all nominations based on pre-established criteria and weights. Their recommendations will be presented to AMAN’s executive management, and the jury, composed of honored and distinguished members of the society, will take the final decisions. The winners will be awarded at the National Integrity Day event organized annually on 9 December, marking the International Anti-Corruption Day.
