RAMALLAH, May 11, 2014 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah Sunday received a letter from the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon approving Palestine's membership in the UN's Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).
Rafeeq Natsheh, head of the Anti-Corruption Commission, informed Hamdallah on the commission's work to match up existing laws on corruption with their international counterparts.
He briefed Hamdallah on the latest updates on the cases submitted to the commission as well as the adopted procedures in coordination with the judiciary system.
Hamdallah reiterated support to the Anti-Corruption Commission in protecting private and public funds and praised it for the noticeable improvement supported by international reports.
