Ghada Zughayar

Ghada’s main responsibilities as Executive Director consist
in managing and overseeing AMAN’s work as a whole. She also
takes an active role in the preparation of AMAN’s strategic
plan and projects and oversees their implementation.
Furthermore, she participates in the mobilizing of resources
and fundraising, and reports to the Board of Directors on
AMAN’s daily work and staff performance.
Prior to joining AMAN in 2007, Ghada
worked as an English teacher and was active in NGOs such as
the Jerusalem Center for Women, where she served as General
Director for four years, and the Palestinian Agricultural
Relief Committee (PARC), where she held several senior
offices for ten years.
Throughout more than 20 years of professional activity in
different civil society organizations, Ghada acquired great
coordination, networking and advocating experience in the
fields of sustainable development, gender, good governance,
integrity, transparency and accountability in NGOs.
Ghada is further a member in several civil society
organizations and pressure groups, and she is a founding
member of numerous non-governmental feminist organizations.

Isam
is the Programs and
Projects Manager.
As such, he is responsible for the supervision of the
preparation, implementation and follow-up of AMAN's
projects, activities and reports. He is further in
charge of the logistic organization of the projects,
workshops and meetings AMAN holds, and also manages the
distribution of AMAN's budget to these projects.
Prior to holding this position, Isam was AMAN's
Administrative Manager from 2002 to 2010. Before joining AMAN,
Isam
worked from 1998 to 2002 with
the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education as the Head of the Certification Division.

Lana
Tawasha/Barrouk

Lana has been working as AMAN’s Administrative Director
since 2010. She is responsible for the management of the HR
Department, supervises manpower planning and training,
administrates recruitment and selection procedures, and
manages the procurement division.
From 2001 to 2010, Lana worked with Talal Abu Ghazaleh
International, where she served as a deputy manager.

Abeer
Musleh
Research and Development Unit Director

Aside
from heading the Research and Development Unit, Abeer works
on the topics of strengthening transparency and combating
corruption by preparing books, studies and training manuals
of relevance. She is currently working on the development
of a Palestinian Corruption Perception Index (PCPI) and the
preparation of the Palestinian Annual Corruption Report.
Abeer also works as a lecturer in the department of History
and Political Science in both Birzeit and al-Quds
Universities. She has extensive experience in the Training
of Trainers (TOT) and training NGOs on communication skills,
conflict resolution and combating corruption to name but a
few.
Abeer further participated in the preparation of studies on
the Palestinian political situations, which were published
in local and regional journals.

Hama
Zeidan
Advocacy and Legal Advice Center- ALAC Director

Hama is
the director of the advocacy and legal advice (ALAC) center,
where she is responsible for the supervision of all aspects
of the operations of the Center to ensure high quality
service.
From 1999 to 2008, Hama worked in the Palestinian Central
Bureau of Statistics, where she acquired extensive
experience in project management and the implementation of
statistical surveys, as well as in the redaction and
analyzing of statistical reports. She worked as the director
of the Governance Survey, served as head of the
Institutional National Accounts division, and was a member
of the technical committee in numerous statistical surveys
(economic, social and geographical).

Wael
Ibrahim Ba'alousha

Wael
has been working at the AMAN office in Gaza since 2007.
Before working as a project coordinator assistant, he
was an administrative assistant on the “National
Corruption Campaign” project. Prior to joining AMAN,
Wael worked with different local NGOs and youth centers
as a field researcher, session’s moderator, and team
leader and trainer for the supervision of elections for
more than nine years.

Mousa

Rami has been working with AMAN as the Resource Center &
Webmaster coordinator since 2004. His responsibilities
include developing and updating AMAN's website as well as
maintaining the Anti-corruption resource center. Prior to
joining AMAN, Rami worked in the private sector for two
years in the software development field.

Jamileh Jalal Abed

Jamileh is currently responsible for the coordination of
two projects: “Measuring anti-corruption efforts and
building demands for effective national integrity systems in
Egypt and the Arab World (MABDA)” and “Enhancing the legal
framework of associations in the Arab World through national
dialogue and empowerment of civil society”. Upon joining
AMAN in 2007, Jamileh was responsible for the management of
the Nazaha-project (enhancing integrity and transparency in
Palestinian NGOs). Prior to this, she worked at the
Treatment and Rehabilitation Center for Victim of Torture
(TRC) as an office manager, and served as academic counselor
with the Academy for Educational Development for five years.

Suliman

Project Director & Training Supervisor
Has six years of experience in
written media as well as a producer and television, radio
programs presenter. He also worked as a reporter for
Abu-Dhabi and Kuwait news agencies in Palestine
He was the director of 4 short
documentary /films in cooperation with A-Quds University,
Bisan center for research, and the Modern Media Institute.
He issued four books on capacity building, development,
media, and schools parent councils;
participated in numerous
conferences at the local and international levels; worked
for three years as projects manager; was a director of the
Social Responsibility Program at TEACHER CREATIVITY CENTER;
he was also the Director of Team Work Consulting and
Training Company in Ramallah for two years; has ten years of
experience in training; prepared several training manuals
which enriched his knowledge on training that is based on
good practices known as ( Active Training), as well as on
participation and philosophy of adult education.

Wael Haj Mohammed

Upon joining AMAN in March 2010, Wael undertook the
management of the project “Enhancing the effectiveness and
independency of the judiciary authority”. This EU-funded
project targets the Justice Sector as one of the most
important Palestinian sectors and its three main pillars,
the High Judicial Council (HJC), the Public Prosecution (PP)
and the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). This project is
considered of central importance given its role in enhancing
integrity and the rule of law in the Justice sector.

Mohammad
works as a project coordinator for The Pro Poor Integrity

activities relating to the project entitled “National

National Anti Corruption Campaign”, previously implemented
by AMAN. He was also responsible for coordinating
activities for the pressure group Palestinian
Parliamentarians against Corruption.

Falah

Lina is responsible for the coordination of the
“Students in Confrontation”, the third phase of the project
“National Endowment for Democracy/Fighting Corruption
through Education”. In addition to this, she is currently
organizing the national campaign to enhance participation in
local elections.
Prior to joining AMAN in 2009, Lina worked as a project
coordinator at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society as well
as at Birzeit University, where she acquired experience in
the coordination of projects and the writing of reports.

Belal
Barghouthi

Belal works as a legal adviser for AMAN
since 2009 and offers legal advice regarding the complaints of ALAC.
He previously worked at the Center for Democracy and Workers Rights for
a period of two years, as a lawyer and coordinator of the
Law Unit, and worked in the Legislative Council for a
period of ten years as a legal adviser to the Economic
Commission. He is currently
also active as exterior legal counsel,
lecturer and coach for a number of public institutions as
well as experts in legislative drafting. Furthermore, he is
also engaged as an activist in the field of human rights and
has published several books, such as: "The Right of Access
or Free Access to Information"; "Discrimination in Public
Office"; "Labor Disputes and the Palestinian Judiciary";
"The General Administration of Public Institutions";
"Non-Ministerial, Critical Review of the Decision of the Law
on Money Laundering".

Baker has
been working as legal advisor for
the AMAN – Gaza office since 2010, where he provides legal
consultancy for the complaints in ALAC. He previously worked
as a lawyer in the Palestinian Center for Democracy and
Conflict Resolutions for four years, and is currently
working as a consultant in several subjects such as
advocacy, gender & human rights. He is furthermore active as
a volunteer lawyer for detained children for the Al-Rabee
Association for the care of youth detention centers
in Gaza. Baker is a member in the
al-Amal Alliance to combat violence against women, and
expert in the women's issues and child abuse cases.

Ayman has
been working as an accountant for AMAN since December 2010.
His tasks include preparing, reviewing and filing financial
documents, writing checks for suppliers, managing all bank
accounts, relevant records, fixed assets and financial
transactions, following up on receivable and payable
accounts and coordinating with the related departments. In
addition to this, Ayman assists in processing the employees’
monthly salaries and guarantees the maintenance of the
accounting records. Prior to joining AMAN, Ayman worked as
an accountant for the Ma’an Development Center for two
years.

Luay
Jaber

Luay
works on receiving complaints by telephone and personal
reviews from citizens at the center and assists them in
filling out forms. He also provides initial legal guidance
for the reviewers and orientation on the action that must be
taken to follow up on complaints.
He further works to sort and classify complaints based on
their relation to corruption and participates in the
preparation of case files submitted to the center. He is
furthermore responsible for entering the complaints-related
data into the database of the center.
Prior to joining AMAN in 2008, Luay worked for al-Amin
Advertisement and Marketing as an administrative supervisor
as well as for the Near East Consulting Group as a
researcher.

Salam has
been working with AMAN as an adminstrative assistant since
November 2008. She is responsible for the files "Employees'
affairs" and "Board of Directors", runs the office of the
“Commission for Combating Corruption” and works on
organizing and developing the institution’s archive system.
Between 1995 and 2007, Salam worked for several NGOs and
private companies, where she acquired wide experience in the
field of employees’ affairs. She is furthermore an active
and founding member in a number of NGOs and Training
Centers.

Somod has

investigation and production of research papers on topics
relating to corruption fighting.
Prior to her employment with AMAN, she volunteered in this
department in January 2010 and trained in the Resource
Center from June to August 2009, where she acquired great
experience in writing news reports.

years, and was elected member of the Taybeh municipal

Um Abdallah is responsible for keeping the office clean and
