Palestine and UNCAC

The government indicates its willingness to adopt policies to combat corruption

AMAN signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Palestinian government headed by prime minister Salam Fayyad on August 28, 2007; where the government declared its commitment to carry out a series of coordinated activities to implement and adhere to the provisions of the UNCAC and declared its willingness to endorse a national plan of action to combat corruption and to adopt anti corruption measures.

AMAN, on its part, declared its readiness to support the different ministries and institutions of the Palestinian authority in spreading transparency and Integrity within their work. AMAN with the support of the government will also promote the participation of the civil society organizations in combating corruption and their role in raising awareness on anti corruption issues.

To facilitate the work of AMAN, the government will ensure that the Palestinian ministries provide all the necessary & required information and facilitate access to public documents.
