AMAN coalition recently and within its grants program to the civil
organizations concluded the second evaluation stage of the project
proposals submitted by the various institutions working in Palestine.
Where a total of 34 drafts reviewed and evaluated at this phase; that
after a specialized team from AMAN excluded a total of 14 drafts in
which did not fit with the announced terms.
AMAN Coalition praises the significant attention and the good quality of
proposals submitted; in which gave a clear indication of the conceptual
framework of integrity system and the civil work institutions coherence
to initiatives and activities that promote the values of integrity,
transparency and accountability in the Palestinian society, such
attention did reach out to the level of confidence and faith in the
capacities and capabilities of the Palestinian institutions towards
contributing to the construction of the national integrity system that
the Coalition seeks.
AMAN Coalition hopes and expects the current year 2009 to witness many
activities and constructive programs that would contribute to the
further establishment of the principles of good governance towards
building a system of national integrity.
With this AMAN coalition initiated the preparation of the third and
final assessment stage, contracting external expert to cooperate with
AMAN team in the evaluation of the nominated proposal drafts, such stage
is expected to take place during the first half of February in the order
to declare the granted institution names by the end of that month.
It should be reaffirmed that this initiative, the first of its kind for
the Coalition, is aimed at encouraging Palestinian organizations to
adopt initiatives and activities in the area of strengthening the system
of anti-corruption through promoting the values of integrity,
transparency and accountability as an essential component of good
governance.
