On
Monday, August 25th, AMAN’s Coalition has organized
the workshop “The Right to Assembly in the Arab World” in the
hall of the Red Crescent
Society Khan Younis.
At
the middle of the workshop, the internal security has stormed in
and demanded the participants from the different political
parties, trade union and civil societies to leave immediately.
The
alleged reason was that the coalition lacked a prior
authorization to convene the workshop. Furthermore, the internal
security arrested and detained a number of participants at
the
Internal Security Office and were released at 12.00 pm.
