AMAN Organizes a Training Workshop on “Strengthening the Transparency and Accountability of Civil Society Organizations” Date: August 26, 2006. AMAN organized a two-day training workshop, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education – Birzeit University, for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Hebron. The Training focused on “Strengthening the Transparency and Accountability of Civil Society Organizations”. It aimed at building the capacity of these organizations to effectively combat corruption within the Palestinian society through promoting a transparent, accountable, and integrate working environment. The training also focused on the need for revising the organizations’ strategic plans, hierarchy, and fiscal and administrative systems to become compatible with high caliber set of standards.  Twenty CSOs participated in the training from all over Hebron. They all showed interest in applying the above-mentioned mechanisms within their work so that they arrive at integrity and accountability. They recommended that a follow-up plan for this training should follow. They called on AMAN to provide all necessary support for accomplishing that.  This training will be followed by similar workshops that would include other CSOs from all over the West Bank and Gaza.   Copyright AMAN © 2007
