AMAN Organizes a Training Workshop on Investigative Journalism

August 24, 2006

The Coalition for Accountability and Integrity AMAN in cooperation with the Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy MIFTAH organized a training workshop on investigative journalism in Gaza during August 22-24, 2006. The training comes as part of a project that aims at building the capacity of journalists in combating corruption. The training focused on the role that investigative journalism should play in exposing corruption. It examined the reality of investigative journalism in Palestine and the challenges ahead.

A similar workshop took place in Ramallah in May 2006. These training activities come as part of AMAN’s strategy of cooperating with journalists. AMAN believes in the role journalism can play in promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability in the Palestinian society and the significant role it can play in exposing corruption.
